Before this announcement, “SPY×FAMILY” was the only manga series ranked in the top 10 bestsellers that did not have an anime adaptation in the current decade!

Sales surpassing previous popular works even before anime adaptation.
Another sensational anime adaptation after Attack on Titans, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, and Jujutsu Kaisen!!

With sales of manga copies of most popular anime franchises in recent years including Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titans, Jujutsu Kaisen prior to anime adaptation put to comparison, we may discover that:
Attack on Titans reached the sale of 10 million copies in its release of Volume 9, obtaining an average publication of 1.1 million copies per volume;
Manga of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba just reached a 4.5-million-copy manga circulation upon release of Volume 14, with an average of 320 thousand copies published per volume; and
Jujutsu Kaisen in the meantime grasped a sales at 8.5 million copies upon first printing of Volume 13, with a circulation of 650 thousand copies per volume acquired.
As for Spy x Family, its cumulative publication in November 2021 upon manga release of Volume 8 has surpassed 12.5 million copies, which is 1.56 million copies in circulation per volume!
The stellar sales make it difficult for its vast array of fans NOT to expect the performance of its anime adaptation!
